Abigail's Baptism Day

Abigail Madelyn Maloy was baptized on October 31, 2009!

Uncle Sonny baptized and confirmed Abby, and helped make the day so special for her! Thanks Sonny!
Getting some love from Daddy... and Mom...
We had a little luncheon for Abby afterwards with our family, and adopted family too!
Kiddie Table ;)

Cute Claire and Caitlyn!
Cousins and Friends!
Abby, just in case you ever wonder, so many people love and support you! And this is only a small portion of them, And for as many as are in this picture, you can probably easily double or triple that from just your family that wanted to be here but couldn't!

Beautiful little Abigail, what a special day for you!
Our cute kids!
Me and my munchkins... we forgot to take family pics while I was still dressed, we were lucky to remember and get these!? Oops!
Just, me and my Baby!

Abigail, I am so proud of you! What a beautiful little girl you are, on the inside and out!

First Day of School 2009

Cute girlies ready for their first day of school... they were both so happy to be going back. Isabelle started fourth grade if you can believe that?? and Abby is in second... Claire starts Kindergarten next Wednesday...
Here's my cute, smart, preppy little girls. I love you adorable little munchkins!

Zach wanted in on the action too... I think this is his prepping to say "Cheese" face...
We decided to walk the kids for their first day back, Chris was even the hero Dad who went into work late so he could walk them and be there to drop them off and kiss them goodbye their first day, he really is such a great Dad!! And sometimes I don't give him enough credit for that, so I'm publicly giving you credit Chris... you are a fantastic Dad!! And I couldn't help taking thic picture of Claire and her friend Kate, they were too cute! I would have a pic of Chris walking the girls but most of you know, that he's always 20 paces ahead of me... ;)

Here's Abigail in front of her new class, her teacher this year is Mrs. Ewell.
Isabelle thought it was hilarious that one of her best little friends had almost the same outfit as her... we had to take a picture of the cute twins, this is her friend Ciera Marshall, aka, CiCi!
Isabelle and Abigail had their first day back at school yesterday, and I'm honestly not sure who was more excited!? They are both SO happy with their new teachers and have fun friends in their classes, so we're all good to go! And of course, their proud little daddy!

Build-A-Monkey

Abby has been asking for a Monkey from Build-A-Bear for almost as long as I can remember--- wasn't she elated when Grandma Grace got her a gift certificate for Christmas. (I've been promising to post these pics for almost as long- Oops ;) But in procrastinating Heidi fashion- here they are! She loves her Monkey, named Hannah in honor of her cousin, (who had just left prior to making the monkey). She has since taken "Hannah" to show and tell at school, and can hardly sleep at night without her, and you can't see it in the pics, but even got "Hannah" a sparkle monkey shirt, which happens to match one that Abby has... Build-A-Bear is overrated and overpriced, but a genius idea, and the kids love it, what do you do?

Abby's Class Halloween Party!

I am the head Room mom in Abby's first grade class- and so I was in charge of the Halloween party! We played Halloween Bingo, and made a Witch's stew (game), and did a Broom Dance (another game). We decorated Pumpkin Sugar cookies and made our own chocolate dipped pretzels and Halloween candy molds! We also decorated a little Halloween fun foam craft! And then we drank homemade Root Beer (that smoked and gurgled) out of it's own witches cauldron! And the kids even got treat bags (I rebelled and put in Halloween pencils and erasers since I knew they would get plenty of candy). I couldn't have done it without my great mother helpers- Thanks Callie, Gina, and Kim!! It was of course crazy- but I think they had a lot of fun!

Abigail's Artsy Fartsy Birthday Bash

I previously posted about the fact that I'm a party planning fool at the moment- and even though I'm about a week late in posting the pictures (about par for the course)... I know, you've been anxiously waiting- so here they are! The whole party was inspired by some Crayola crayon thermos' I got as party favors- so it turned into a creative, make it yourself, make a mess, bright, fun, colorful extravaganza- we made Kool-Aid play dough, Kool-Aid fingerpaint, Silly Slime, played a crayon drop game, made our own Pizzas, and enjoyed what else, Kool-Aid, our pizzas, Crayon box cake, bright cupcakes, and rainbow sherbert! The best part was that the weather was great so we kept all the kids (and all the mess) outside! We had great food, great fun, great messes, great kids, great help (Chris stayed home and Patty came to help- and I couldn't have done it without them), great gifts, and a great time! The kids all got to take home Kool-Aid dough, finger paint, silly slime, and the Crayola thermos with candy and Crayola markers... so fun and cute!
Abby tore through her presents (naturally)- we had to keep reminding her to slow down and enjoy it (i.e. actually looking at what she just opened, and saying Thank You...)
These are a few of our Pizza masterpieces... Yummy!
Just making our pizzas, the kids loved getting their hands in the dough and picking toppings!
Here we are adding blue food coloring to our Silly Slime... gross stuff!
Abby had a great time, and I think all her friends did too...
The kids figured out where the shade was, right at the end of the party when they were finishing up their ice cream cones- the sun cam out, and they ducked for cover... too funny!
My attempt at a Crayon box cake, it turned out cute, but I learned some things that I will do differently next time (you know, because I make so many Crayon box cakes)

Here is the initial group, playing and waiting for everyone to arrive
We're getting ready to mix another great concoction- finger paint. Ooey, gooey, messy fun...
Happy 7th Birthday Abigail!
